A dad who documented a tense encounter he had while taking his daughters to the toilet has asked people not to overreact and go after people or businesses that weren't involved.
Father-of-two Tyler Brodsky had been on a trip with his daughters when they had to answer the call of nature and he pulled over at a service station in Alabama.
Since it was his young daughters that needed the loo he took them to the women's bathroom, which made one man angry enough to call the authorities and complain that his wife and mother couldn't use the toilet because Tyler was in there.
The man had said: "There is a man with his two little girls using the women's bathroom. He is washing his hands with his daughters right now.

"[My wife] is waiting to use the restroom with her mother who is very ill, who is on life support. He is refusing [to leave] and taking his sweet time."
Brodsky's daughters got upset because of the man, and a service station staff member called Melissa stepped in to try and help them.
The police showed up, with Brodsky saying they were 'very professional and very nice' and 'de-escalated the situation'.
The man who confronted the dad has since lost his job, he was an independent contractor but the company he was working for announced that they weren't going to be involved with him any longer.
Since then Tyler has made a plea to people who think they're on the side of the angels not to go after people whether they were involved or not, explaining that businesses which had nothing to do with the incident had been targeted for hate and harassment.
In a TikTok video he said: "I do not condone any harassment or threats to anyone that was involved."
He also pointed out that businesses which weren't involved in the incident had been 'affected tremendously', explaining that one called The Well Frequency had been targeted negatively despite having nothing to do with what had happened.

In fact, Tyler encouraged people to support them because of how they'd been affected by the mob seizing upon the wrong target.
In his message to people he pleaded: "I also want to ask everyone to please stop leaving negative reviews or harassing businesses that had nothing to do with what happened. If anything, go show them some love instead."
He thanked people who'd sent gifts or donations to his daughters in the aftermath as he has set up a GoFundMe.
The dad also called for businesses that didn't have family bathrooms to think about providing them so someone in his situation would be able to make get his daughters to the toilet without some people seeing it as controversial enough to call the police over.
