President Trump hit out at CNN journalist Kaitlan Collins telling her she had ‘hatred in her eyes’ during a White House press briefing.
Trump was surrounded by journalists as he signed a new executive order yesterday (Wednesday 3 June).
But it seemed one reporter got on the wrong side of the POTUS who accused her of ‘false reporting’ and ‘never smiling’.
Trump was responding to a question about his recent decision to drop the $1.776 billion anti-weaponisation fund, when he began to lash out about CNN, calling the network ‘crooked as Hell’ before turning his attention to Collins.

"CNN's a very corrupt organisation, with a corrupt reporter standing right there, never smiles," he said, gesturing towards the journalist.
"She never... a young beautiful woman [who] never smiles. I never see a smile off her face. I see her standing there with hatred in her eyes."
He went on to claim that Collins felt ‘hatred’ because the US has ‘borders, because we have a strong military, because we cut our taxes, because we do things that everybody wanted’.
Trump then hit out at Collins again a few minutes later.
“You used to be a conservative,” he said.
“She was a conservative from Alabama. Can you believe it?”
In response, Collins fired back that she was ‘still from Alabama’.
This isn’t the first time Trump has commented on Collins ‘not smiling’.

Back in February he was in the Oval Office showing off a new baseball cap with the slogan ‘America is back’ written on it, with Collins in attendance.
"Look, CNN is thrilled,” Trump said.
"She never smiles. Someday I'll see her smile."
A spokesperson from CNN backed their reporter, telling The New York Post Collins ‘is an exceptional journalist, reporting every day from the White House and the field with real depth and tenacity’.
“She skilfully brings that reporting to the anchor chair and CNN platforms every day, which audiences around the world know they can trust,” they added.
Back in November, Trump hit headlines after loosing his temper with a Bloomberg reporter when she asked a question about convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The female reporter asked him if there was anything ‘incriminating’ in the Epstein emails, prompting Trump to point a finger at her and say: “Quiet! Quiet, Piggy!"
