Donald Trump has caused a stir online after resharing a bizarre social media post which claimed that Joe Biden died five years ago and was replaced by a 'clone'.
The US President seemed to suggest that 'robotic engineered soulless, mindless entities' have been standing in for his predecessor since 2020.
Trump shared a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, which was originally published by one of his supporters, that claimed clones and doubles were running the White House before he took over.

It read: "There is no #JoeBiden - executed in 2020. #Biden clones doubles & robotic engineered soulless mindless entities are what you see.
"Democrats don't know the difference."
Trump didn't add any comment to the post, but after resharing it, people think that's indication enough that he has bought into the baseless conspiracy theory.
News of his online activity quickly spread across social media, as fans of the president propped up his claims, while critics described it as ridiculous - and others just couldn't believe Trump had actually shared it.

One person wrote: "No f***ing way... is this post real?"
Another said: "Trump is a legendary troll."
A third added: "It would certainly make more sense to me if it were true!"
While a fourth chimed in: "Just like all MAGAts, you're all into conspiracy theories. Do you think the earth is flat as well? Just wondering."
Sorry to break up the party, folks, but there isn't any truth to this outlandish claim about Biden - and it's not the first time a rumour like this has gone around.

Allegations suggesting that the 46th president of the United States, who was in office from 2021 to 2025, wasn't doing too good surfaced on the internet in July last year too.
These rumours ran rampant - so much so, that Elon Musk's platform, X, created two trending pages dedicated to the search terms 'Biden's Vegas Health Scare' and 'Biden’s Vegas Emergency: Mystery Unfolds', according to NBC.

At the time, Biden had just announced that he was withdrawing from the presidential race and that Kamala Harris was taking the reigns, while he had also revealed that he had tested positive for Covid.
This order of events is apparently the perfect recipe to create a conspiracy theory, as although he'd been seen in public looking in good health just days before, the claims gained some serious traction online.

Sandy Hook-denier and Infowars founder Alex Jones, a longtime supporter of Trump, also previously pedalled the 'clone' rumour in regards to Biden around the same time period.
In a post on X shared in July, 2024, the disgraced radio show host and conspiracy theorist quote tweeted footage of the former president, which was shared alongside the suggestion he had grown taller after going 'missing for five days'.
He wrote: "There is no doubt that is not the real Joe Biden. The legs are 6 to 8 inches longer and the face is clearly different.
"The deep state has completed its coup over the executive branch and is guaranteed to attempt another election theft."
Again, there was no evidence to support this bizarre theory - unless you simply want to take the word of MAGA supporters online.

As well as there being an overwhelming lack of proof to support these strange claims, a lot of people think Trump publishing the latest 'clone' theory was in seriously poor taste, given that Biden is currently battling prostate cancer.

The 82-year-old is fighting an 'aggressive' form of the disease, which sadly has already spread to his bones.
In wake of the news going public, Trump appeared to put their personal and political differences aside as he wished Biden well in a social media post.
It read: "Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden's recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery."
However, he then drastically changed his tune during a press conference at the White House the following day, as he questioned how Biden's health had taken such a turn for the worse.
"I'm surprised that the public wasn't notified a long time ago because to get to stage nine, that's a long time," he said. "I think that if you look, it's the same doctor that said that Joe was cognitively fine.
"There was nothing wrong with him. Maybe it was the same doctor, and somebody is not telling the facts."
Trump went on to say there are 'things going on that the public wasn't informed of' which is 'very dangerous'.
LADbible have contacted the White House and representatives for Biden for comment.
