Trump blasts Time magazine over picture that is the 'worse of all time'

Donald Trump called out the magazine for an unflattering image they used on their cover

He could've been a Nobel Peace prize winner, but Donald J Trump will just have to settle for the leader of the free world for now.

In typical Trump fashion, the president has once again been complaining, lashing out at yet another person, or organisation in this case.

The 47th U.S president has been granted good PR in the last week, considering that a long-awaited ceasefire in Gaza was finally agreed, and many allies believe he deserved the lauded Nobel prize for his efforts in the Middle East.

Time magazine even put him on their cover page, complimenting the leader on the peace deal, but Trump had other things on his mind, like the image that accompanied the feature.

He even called the picture 'the Worst of All Time' in his signature posting style.

On the magazine's cover, Trump can be seen pictured from the bottom, with bright sunlight lighting up the background. The words accompanying the image read 'his triumph'.

Trump, however, was less than impressed.

He wrote on Truth Social on Tuesday morning: "Time Magazine wrote a relatively good story about me, but the picture may be the Worst of All Time. They ‘disappeared’ my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one. Really weird!”

He added that the image was 'a super bad picture that deserves to be called out'.

Unflattering picture or not, Trump has had pretty positive coverage from the magazine which has named him Person of the Year twice.

The 79-year-old also voiced his displeasure at missing out on this year's Nobel Peace Prize despite publicly campaigning for it.

It went instead to María Corina Machado, the Venezuelan opposition leader who disappeared and went into hiding in August 2024, following elections the preceding month.

The Nobel Prize team say they traditionally award the individual who demonstrates 'fraternity between the nations and the abolition or reduction of standing armies and the formation and spreading of peace congresses' in a given year.

Trump naturally disagreed with the decision and claimed that he 'won't get a Nobel Prize' after completing a diplomatic deal, saying: "I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for stopping the War between India and Pakistan … for stopping the War between Serbia and Kosovo … for keeping Peace between Egypt and Ethiopia … and I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for doing the Abraham Accords in the Middle East."

Maybe next time, big guy.
