Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel could be the next late-night talk show hosts on the chopping block, according to Donald Trump.

The US President appeared to send a thinly veiled warning to the pair of comedians when their names cropped up in conversation during a press conference on Wednesday (6 August).

He seemed to suggest Fallon and Kimmel could soon join Stephen Colbert on the scrap heap of axed TV presenters, saying the trio each have 'no talent' between them.

The choice of what comical late night programmes Americans can watch is apparently lessening by the day, following on from the cancellation of Colbert's iconic and uber popular,The Late Show, on 17 July.

Trump insisted he didn't pull any strings to get bosses at CBS to give the veteran broadcaster the boot, instead claiming it was down to the 61-year-old's 'pure lack of talent.'

In a Truth Social rant shared on 29 July, he then fired shots at the 'even less talented Jimmy Kimmel' and the 'weak and very insecure Jimmy Fallon.'

Trump then added: "The only real question is, who will go first?"

Well, a week later, it seems he might have a bit more intel on this.

According to the commander-in-chief, he's 'heard' that both Fallon and Kimmel ought to get their CVs printed off and head down to the job centre, pronto.

During a press conference yesterday, Real America’s Voice reporter Brian Glenn asked Trump an 'entertainment based question' about Colbert's recent dismissal and Howard Stern reportedly parting ways with SiriusXM.

He asked the President whether he thinks the 'hate Trump business model' has had it's day, appearing to suggest the careers of a lot of his critics are now being derailed.

In response, Trump said: "It hasn't worked. It hasn't worked for a long time...pretty much from the beginning. Colbert has no talent. I mean, I could take anybody here...I could go outside down the beautiful streets and pick a couple of people that do just as well, or better. They'd get higher ratings. He's got no talent."

Then, he issued what seemed to be a warning to Fallon and Kimmel.

"Fallon has no talent," Trump said. "Kimmel has no talent. They’re next. They’re gonna be going. I hear they're going to be going..."

He went on to say that Colbert brought in tons more viewers than the pair of them, so he reckons they haven't got long left of their late night slots.

Stern also caught something of a stray during the chat too, as the President said: "Howard Stern is a name I haven't heard in a long time. I used to do his show. We used to have fun.

"You know when he went down? When he endorsed Hillary Clinton. He lost his audience. People said, 'Give me a break.'"
