United States senator Ted Cruz has hit out at Druski's controversial ‘Erika Kirk’ skit.

The comedian went viral on social media after sharing a video captioned: "How Conservative Women in America act."

In the two-minute clip, the 31-year-old wears a blonde wig, makeup, prosthetics and a cross necklace, appearing to imitate and mock Erika Kirk, without mentioning her by name.

Kirk - the widow of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk who was killed in September - has made several appearances since her husband's death that have gone viral online.

Druski, who is in whiteface, recreates and exaggerates moments similar to Kirk's public speeches dressed in a white pantsuit, and dancing while sparklers go off on the podium with an American flag in the background.

In the video, the YouTuber says he is 'praying for the soldiers and troops' during a mock press conference.

When a fake reporter asks about civilians and children killed in a US attack, his character said the situation 'broke my heart'.

In another part, Druski pretends to appear on a podcast while holding a Bible - speaking about religion in an exaggerated way.

The skit also mocks stereotypes by showing him order an 'organic' drink and a pup cup for his dog at a coffee drive-through.

At another point, he stands at a podium and says America must protect 'all white men in America'.

While senator Cruz has said the video was 'beneath contempt', Druski has been retweeting the clip and responses to the clip onto his X feed.

Critics have said the footage is disrespectful to the mum-of-two who appeared to be portrayed in whiteface, as one person tweeted: "Sir, you are a racist."

Another penned: "What a cruel, cruel, world we live in."

"Thought you were funny before. This is just disgusting," a third wrote.

Others defended Druski, calling him 'one of the funniest mfs'.

"Nah son Druski deadass the GOAT of ts," a second wrote.

"Bro Druski is not real!" a third commented.

Whiteface can be considered racist when it mocks or stereotypes white people based on race, however, scholars note it lacks the same history of systemic oppression as blackface.

The clip quickly went viral online, as X's Grok AI misidentified the satirical version of the Turning Point USA CEO and thought it was actually her.

When asked: "Who is this," it responded: "That's Erika Kirk, the actress/comedian starring in Druski's satirical skit.

"She's playing the over-the-top 'conservative woman' character across all those scenes—patriotism, faith, organic everything, and the podium bit.

"Spot-on performance for the laughs!"

Druski used whiteface in a previous sketch last year when he dressed up as a 'stereotypical Southern NASCAR fan'.
