It's been nearly six months since Charlie Kirk was killed, with many in America continuing to grieve the political commentator.

The Turning Point USA founder was fatally shot in the neck during a speaking event at Utah Valley University in September last year, with thousands of people attending his bizarre funeral a couple of weeks later.

While his wife Erika touched on her Christian values and suggested that she forgave her husband's killer, president Donald Trump stole the show somewhat by blasting the 'radical left' and then suggesting that he had discovered 'the answer to autism'.

Over the past few months, Erika has taken over as the CEO of Turning Point USA and has regularly been seen alongside either Trump or his vice-president JD Vance, and she was in attendance once again yesterday at Trump's State of the Union speech to Congress.

During a speech that was riddled with factual errors, the 79-year-old also paid tribute to both Charlie and Erika, which prompted her to mouth a three-word phrase, looking upwards and seemingly saying 'I miss you'.

The moment came as Trump honoured the father-of-two, telling the audience: "I'm very proud to say that during my time in office, both the first four years and in particular this last year, there has been a tremendous renewal in religion, faith, Christianity, and belief in God...And a big part of that had to do with my great friend Charlie Kirk.

"So last year, Charlie was violently murdered by an assassin and martyred for his beliefs. His wonderful wife Erika is with us tonight."

It was then that the widow, who was given a standing ovation, seemed to cast her eyes upwards, presumably towards heaven, before mouthing 'I miss you'.

People on social media were quick to sing her praises as she continues to deal with the death of her husband, with prosecutors now seeking the death penalty for his alleged killer Tyler Robinson.

One person wrote on X: "Seeing Erika Kirk mouth 'I miss you' is heartbreaking."

While another added: "I'm not a lip reader, but it appears that Erika says: 'I miss you.' after standing up. You can see her struggling to keep her composure when hearing Charlie's name."

Trump then added: “You’ve been through a lot.”

The president also said that in Kirk's memory 'we must all come together to reaffirm that we are one nation under God...and we must totally reject political violence of any kind.'

He had previously declared Kirk a martyr at his funeral, despite the commentator's undoubtedly controversial views regarding race and gender, with the recent proposals to name US roads after him suggesting that he still remains a beloved figure for a large percentage of the population.
