The daughter of Elon Musk looks to have slammed her father after he was accused of giving a 'Nazi gesture' during Trump's inauguration.

Vivian Wilson, 20, who has publicly criticised the Tesla founder, 53, in the past, commented on the controversial incident at Monday’s (20 January) event at the Capitol One Arena.

Wilson and her twin brother were born to Musk's first wife, author Justine Musk. The couple divorced in 2008.

Now, during the event, the tech billionaire made a gesture widely interpreted as a Nazi salute, to which he denied.

What did Elon Musk's daughter say?

Without naming her father, she tweeted: "I'm just gonna say let's call a spade a f**king spade.

"Especially if there were two spades done in succession based on the reaction of the first spade."

She added: "I don't know why y'all are reacting with such vigour, I'm clearly only talking about card suits.

"I mean I have ADHD and this was CLEARLY just an accident that people happened to interpret to mean something other than just card suits.

"After all, there's no proof I'm not just talking about card suits. Y'know... people assuming that I'm not just talking about card suits just goes to show how dishonest people/the media can be.

"For those who can read between the lines, do y'all understand how f**king easy this is to do? Plausible deniability honey. Just saying."

While talking on the Capitol One Arena stage at the inauguration, Musk was discussing the prospect of planting an American flag on Mars.

He then thanked the crowd for helping secure Trump's victory, adding: "My heart goes out to you. It is thanks to you that the future of civilisation is assured."

Musk then appeared to thump his chest, before his right arm shot up in an angular motion towards the sky.

What has Elon Musk said about the gesture?

Taking to X on 21 January, he responded to a user who shared a screenshot of one of his own former tweets.

Alongside the screenshot, the social media user wrote: "The salute hoax is just another part of the 'dirty tricks campaign'."

Quoting the post, Musk wrote: "Frankly, they need better dirty tricks. The 'everyone is Hitler' attack is sooo tired."

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) also said: "This is a delicate moment. It’s a new day and yet so many are on edge. Our politics are inflamed, and social media only adds to the anxiety.

"It seems that @elonmusk made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute, but again, we appreciate that people are on edge.

"In this moment, all sides should give one another a bit of grace, perhaps even the benefit of the doubt, and take a breath. This is a new beginning.

"Let’s hope for healing and work toward unity in the months and years ahead."
