Fox TV anchor left with gruesome injuries after being attacked by dog in Whole Foods
A popular TV anchor on FOX has been left with grizzly, long-term injuries after being attacked by a dog inside a Whole Foods supermarket.
Jackie DeAngelis, a co-host on Fox Business' 'The Big Money Show', is suing the upmarket grocery store chain and blames it for allowing the mauling to happen.
DeAngelis, 46, says she was bitten by a vicious dog inside the Whole Foods store at 10, Columbus Circle, Manhattan, New York City, in September 2023, according to a complaint filed in the Manhattan Supreme Court on August 20, reports to the New York Post.
It's reported that a black pit bull bit the breast cancer survivor's left hand and the owner then fled the scene with the dog before police officers arrived.

The attack has had a devastating impact on DeAngelis, with the suit saying she has been left 'permanently disfigured', with limited mobility and unable to perform certain tasks. She even had to undergo hand surgery in the aftermath of the bite.
The Wall Street Analyst, who is also an attorney, argues the dog should not have been allowed in the store as it wasn't a service animal, and holds Whole Foods responsible.
“[Whole Foods] failed to reasonably enforce its own policies, practices and/or procedures concerning animals entering and remaining within the subject store,” the suit said.
The store has a 'no pets' policy, as per its official website, but 'welcomes' all service animals in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
DeAngelis is seeking damages for increasing medical bills and emotional distress suffered from the attack.
LADbible Group has approached Whole Foods, Jackie DeAngelis and the New York Police Department for comment.
The terrifying ordeal hasn't put DeAngelis off man's best friend, though, as she is the owner of an adorable Cavachon named Friday.
She praised the pub in an Instagram post celebrating National Pet Day.
She wrote: "Friday is fortunate to get her share of attention, but the joy and love she has brought to my life the last year is immeasurable and worth a mention.
"She has been a constant, loyal companion and has helped me overcome numerous challenges. Everyone says ‘she’s so lucky to have you,’ and I say nope, I’m lucky to have her."
Social media sensation dog has died
Elsewhere in dog news, Tucker Budzyn, a beloved golden retriever with over 4.4 million followers on Instagram, died on Wednesday, September 2.
The eight-and-a-half-year-old Tucker was diagnosed with lymphoma, a blood cancer, a few weeks earlier but despite responding to treatment well, contracted an infection in his intestines which couldn't be cured.
His heartbroken owner, Courtney Budzyn, shared the news through tears on her pet's social media accounts, saying: "I'm so sorry.
"Tucker passed away on Wednesday, unexpectedly. He was doing really well. The treatment.
"I want you to know I tried to do everything I could. I did everything. His temperature kept raising and nothing was changing it. We had to let him go. Tucker, I love you so much. You saved my life.
"There was nothing in this world I wouldn't have done for him, he was literally part of me. He was part of my soul. It feels like I lost a body part."
