Inside Jeffrey Epstein's disturbing temple on his infamous island

Photos of the odd building have raised a number of questions

Photos of a peculiar temple located on Epstein's infamous island appeared among the thousands of documents which were released by the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Friday 19 December.

The first batch of the long-awaited Epstein files were made public last week, with many big names spotted in snaps with the disgraced financier.

While Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in a New York prison cell after being arrested on sex trafficking charges in 2019, questions have continued to persist around the activities he was involved in and if any celebrities were aware of his crimes.

Files on the disgraced paedophile financier include snaps of the likes of Michael Jackson, Richard Branson, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Donald Trump among others - which does not suggest any wrongdoing.

Bill Clinton has also been pictured, though he has called for all of his photos to be released for full transparency to the public.

President Trump noted that he thinks 'it's a terrible thing' that people are being shown among the photos, including Clinton, who he claims he's 'always gotten along with'.

“A lot of people are very angry that pictures are being released of other people that really had nothing to do with Epstein, but they’re in a picture with him because he was at a party, and you ruin a reputation of somebody, so a lot of people are very angry that this continues,” Trump said on Monday.

Calls to release documents relating to Epstein's case have only gotten louder and since more files are set to be released in coming weeks, it's thought that new information may come to light.

At least 13 photos have disappeared from the DOJ website over the weekend though, including one of Trump which has since been reinstated.

Now, attention has turned to pictures of the mysterious temple on Epstein's infamous island, which includes coded symbols and used mattresses.

The structure was first found by drones back in 2019, with the small building in blue and white stripes being the focus of many conspiracy theories.

Pictures show pieces of wood lying around and cement panels being exposed, while another snap shows mattresses which look to have been left to rot in a shrink wrap which has turned yellow.

As for the ceiling in the cube-shaped building, it looks to be hand-painted and includes some animals and constellations behind a cloudy sky, with zodiac symbols also present.

The purpose of the temple remains unclear.

A massive empty wooden bookshelf is also in good condition, while other pieces in the room looked unfinished, as some believe that this structure was built between 2009 and 2013, the Daily Mail reports.

Located in the southwest of Little St James Island, it is just off the coast of the US territory of St Thomas.

It's believed that a gold dome was ripped off the building by a hurricane before 2017, though the entire island was transformed by Epstein following his purchase of it back in 1998.

Palm trees and massive US flags can be found on the island, with pictures of the supposed temple less disturbing that some of the other photos which were released.

These included Epstein getting up close and personal with young girls on his private jet, which were framed and put on display in his mansion.
