A nurse who claims to have been suspended for reporting a doctor who allegedly 'celebrated' the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk has spoken out.
Lexi Kuenzle, a healthcare worker from the US state of New Jersey, has accused a medic of 'cheering' in the wake of the death of the 31-year-old right-wing political activist.
The nurse claims to have witnessed Dr Matthew Jung allegedly relishing when news broke that Kirk had been struck with a single bullet in the neck last Wednesday (10 September).
She was working a shift at Englewood Health, where she had spent two years of her ten-year tenure as a nurse, when the alleged incident occurred.

Kuenzle claims that while standing at a nurse's station with eight of her colleagues and a patient in a stretcher nearby, she described the shooting of Kirk as 'terrible'.

In response, as per the New York Post, she alleges that Dr Jung said: "I hate Charlie Kirk. He had it coming. He deserved it."
The nurse claims she then questioned how a doctor could 'say someone deserved to die', regardless of their political views.
According to her lawsuit against the hospital and Dr Jung, the medic offered to 'buy lunch' for the nurses who were present when he supposedly made the comments about Kirk.

Kuenzle said she reported Dr Jung's alleged comments to management before sharing the story on social media after she had clocked off.
She was reportedly summoned for a meeting with hospital bosses the following day, who, she claims, then suspended her without pay amid an investigation into the incident.
Kuenzle further claimed that she was later told that she'd likely be fired.
The suit claimed: "[Kuenzle] had the audacity to question how Dr. Jung can comply with the Hippocratic Oath’s and the American Medical Association’s Code of Medical Ethics while celebrating the murder of a non-violent Christian speaker who was on a college campus."

"It was mind-blowing to me," the 33-year-old nurse told The Post of the alleged incident. "I was so angry and upset."
Englewood Health has now addressed the incident, telling Fox News that 'both the doctor and nurse were placed on suspension to allow time for a thorough and fair investigation, following our standard protocol, and in the interest of everyone’s safety including their own'.
The hospital added: "Contrary to certain media reports, the nurse was not fired. Any reported suggestions that the nurse should seek other employment was not an official or accurate statement from Englewood Health."
LADbible Group has approached Englewood Health for further comment.
