How I Met Your Mother actor Nick Pasqual has received a sentence of 32 years to life after repeatedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend, according to a report from ABC7.
In May 2024, Pasqual broke into the Los Angeles home of makeup artist Allie Shehorn and stabbed her 'multiple times' before attempting to flee to Mexico. The former couple had been estranged at the time of the attack.
Pasqual was later arrested in Texas and extradited to California, where he was charged and later found guilty of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present and injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend or child's parent.

Pasqual and Shehorn first met while working on the 2023 film Rebel Moon. Pasqual had an uncredited role, while Shehorn worked in the film's make-up department.
Before the attack, the 36-year-old had taken out a restraining order against Pasqual, after their relationship had turned violent.
Shehorn was left with visible scarring along her neck and arms from the attack, recounting several incidents of abuse during the trial. She also revealed how her life had been saved by her friend and roommate, who found her after the attack.
The make-up artist suffered extensive injuries from the attack, including partial vision loss and loss of sensation in her hands.

"Every day is different and it's a struggle, and just dealing with the permanent damage is really hard. I can't go back completely to how I was," she told MailOnline in 2024.
"I still don't have feeling back in my hands and partial vision loss that I can't get back."
