How I Met Your Mother star Josh Radnor has revealed that he is 'not even a little bit' as close with his co-stars as he used to be.
With nine seasons and nearly a decade on air, it's fair to assume that Radnor would be close with his co-stars Neil Patrick Harris, Jason Segel, Alyson Hannigan and Cobie Smulders, given the amount of time they spent on set together.
After all, when you spend several of your waking hours with colleagues, it's inevitable that you become close.
The How I Met Your Mother cast was also noted to appear specifically friendly on set, with several fans picking up on their behind-the-scenes camaraderie in various blooper reels.

However, this isn't a connection which has stood the test of time, as Radnor recently revealed that everyone has naturally drifted in the 12 years since the cameras stopped rolling.

Speaking about where the gang's relationship stands during a recent interview on Half The Picture podcast with Billy Barnell, Radnor said the cast had fallen out but instead drifted apart.
Comparing their dynamic as being similar to that of a college friendship, Radnor said: "It’s like college where you have this very intense time together and... you can't imagine not seeing each other every day because you've seen each other every day for so long.
"And then you just it just disperses, and you just go out and live your life.
"People really want to believe that me and Neil and Jason are like hitting bars in New York City together," he continued. "They really want to believe that."
Radnor went on to list off recent interactions he's had with cast over the recent years, which included inviting Neil Patrick Harris and Cobie Smulders onto his podcast, while he keeps in touch with Jason Segel by sending occasional texts of 'something funny'.
As for American Pie star Hannigan, Radnor added that he hadn't seen her since his wedding to Jordana Jacobs in 2024.
"Acting is like a lot of love affairs you have, and then you move on," he added.

This isn't the only time that Radnor has reflected on his time making the sitcom in recent months, with the 52-year-old recently clearing the air over his and Harris' differing approaches to the series.
While discussing their working relationship on Radnor's rewatch podcast, How We Made Your Mother, Harris revealed that he'd often felt as though his performance had annoyed Radnor, to which the host responded by asking for more details.
"It's not like an unresolved issue that I have or anything," Harris said. "I just remember being at craft service or something and you were personally just more like buddy buddy with Jason [Segel] and that we'd say hey to each other or whatever but like we were sort of doing different shows when we were filming it.
"I remember thinking ‘Is Josh mad at me?’ a lot. Like ‘Am I doing something to annoy him?'"
Radnor then apologised if he'd ever made Harris uncomfortable, noting that he was also grappling with his newfound fame at the time.
"This was my fourth pilot. I was not a famous person, and I think that I had a harder adjustment with losing my anonymity, being the centre of this show," he said.
"I didn't know how to process this in a way that felt healthy, other than kind of trying to keep it at arm's length."
