A former school teacher, was convicted for engaging in an illegal sexual relationship with one of her 17-year-old students.
McKenna Kindred, a teacher at Spokane Central Valley High School in Washington, exchanged disturbing text messages with the anonymous teen after inviting him to her marital home in November 2022, the Daily Mail reported.
While her husband was away on a hunting trip, the 23-year-old had sex with the boy for three hours, according to the student.
Although the age of consent in Washington is 16, adults can be charged if they have sex with children in their care up to the age of 18.

The student, who months prior followed Kindred on Instagram, sent her a message around the time they had sex, which read: “Mom glad I can satisfy you.”
The educator reportedly liked the message, to which the teen replied if she had used a sex toy while thinking about him.
“I did,” she responded.

“U should have video it and save it,” the teen continued, as Kindred said: “Hm next time I need to relearn Snapchat haha.”
Other texts from Kindred read, “I want you to be in my room.
“I really like being touched by you.”
According to court documents, the teen said they had also shared explicit pictures and video with the teacher.
Their relationship came to light after rumours started going around school and Kindred's colleagues caught wind of what was happening.
The text messages, however, served as primary evidence during the legal proceedings that concluded in March 2024.
Kindred plead guilty to second-degree sexual misconduct with a minor and communication with a minor for immoral purposes.

She avoided jail time and was sentenced to 24 months of probation, ordered to pay $700 in fines, and required to register as a sex offender for 10 years.
Kindred resigned from her teaching position in 2023 and has since surrendered her license.
As the case came to an end, Kindred said she was 'deeply ashamed' of her actions, and apologised to the victim and his family.
"I am truly sorry for my actions. I know that this past year has been enormously stressful for all involved. As a result of my actions I've lost my career, valuable friendships, freedoms and have let down countless people who placed their trust in me," she said.
"My mental health has also been severely affected by this event. I am deeply ashamed of the pain I have caused."
Kindred, now 27, has moved with her husband, Kyle, to a newly built home in Idaho.
