Woman's Inappropriate Christmas Light Display Causes Outrage With Neighbours

A US woman has shocked her neighbours with an erm... unusual Christmas light display featuring a massive c*** and balls. 'Tis the season.

While many of us like to get our houses looking festive and bright at this time of year, Shelby Gash decided rather than usual snowmen, Christmas tree and Father Christmas displays she'd go for something a bit different.

The fairy lights have certainly garnered a lot of attention in Whispering Hills, Kansas, where one shocked neighbour said it's 'probably not appropriate'.

Local residents Marcelo and Christi Vergara told WDAF: "Well, it looks like a penis. A giant lit-up penis." No s***, Sherlock.

Vergara added: "Well, it's certainly a statement. I don't know to what but probably not appropriate for the neighbourhood."

So why did Gash decide on the interesting lights? "The neighbourhood's kind of like vibe's kind of gone down because everyone's kind of uptight.

"So it's more of a, kind of, orneriness."

Just to be sure, the news outlet asked her what the display was supposed to be, to which she replied: "A giant glowing d***."

Cool, well, that clears that up then.

Gash isn't the only person who's gone for a NSFW display this Christmas, Christian Roach, from Wales, recently put up his own cheeky decorations, but for a very good reason.

Roach, who recently beat testicular cancer, used 750 fairy lights to spell out 'Check Yr Nuts' in front of his home to encourage men to be more aware about testicular cancer.

The dad-of-three said: "I had cancer at Christmas last year but I had no idea.

"I knew something was wrong and couldn't properly enjoy Christmas. I am normally very bubbly but my mates and the family said I seemed off.

"I tried to put on a brave face but people did say I didn't seem like myself. The message with the lights is massive and really important to me.

"We trim up with lights every year and I just said this as a joke at first. But Nicola loved the idea and we ran with it. The street is glowing up now it is.

"I knew very little about cancer and stuff before but it's so important to catch it early. If you do there is a good chance it can be sorted. I know it's not nice going to the doctors and pulling out your private parts but it has got to be done.

"If the lights can help just one man then it has worked."
