Woman's Attempted Rooftop Jump Into Pool Goes Badly Wrong

Woman's Attempted Rooftop Jump Into Pool Goes Badly Wrong

This looks painful

A clip showing the dangers of being a wannabe daredevil has gone viral - after a woman's attempt at a rooftop plunge into a pool during 4 July celebrations went very badly wrong.

The shocking video shows the woman on the rooftop alongside a man, the pair begin to run down before attempting to dive off into the pool.

While it all goes well for the fella, the poor woman ends up stumbling near the edge of the rooftop, which impacts her speed, meaning that instead of a leap she does a sort of drop downwards and smashes into patio shelter.

Her leg somehow catches on the shelter and she ends up getting flipped upside down before plummeting into the pool.

Dust can be seen flying all over the place while horrified party goers look on.

Miraculously, the woman seems absolutely fine and makes her way to the surface and putting her arms in the air.

In the background a man can be heard repeatedly saying: "What did I tell you?" but it seems he may have stopped short of warning the woman in the clip.

Although it may not look like it, she's pretty bloody lucky the patio shelter was there or else she'd have smashed straight into the concrete patio and well... I don't need to tell you how that would have ended.

The woman who posted the clip online said the woman is 'fine', but I think it's safe to assume she's probably a bit bruised.

Social media users were left reeling after seeing the clip, with many questioning why her pals didn't rush over to check she was OK.

Twitter

One person wrote: "Not one person reacted to her almost breaking her neck."

Someone else asked: "Why would you make the jump in the first place?"

While a third joked: "Americans acting like they got free healthcare is baffling to the outside world."

So, let this be a lesson to us all - don't try and jump off roofs into pools, OK? Nothing good will come of it and you might end up going viral.
