Interesting design, isn't it?

Twitter user @tyler_posting shared a short video of the lamp in action, alongside the caption: "This lamp is haunting my nightmares."

Fair enough, yeah.

As you can imagine, the interesting light - which is called Love In Light - has attracted plenty of attention online, with social media users baffled that it even exists.

One person said: "Thank you for giving me a reason to get off this hell site for the night. I have officially seen enough thank you. Have a nice day."

Another said: "Worst part is that the concept is really clever, but the execution is idiotic and ruins it completely."

A third person joked: "Reminds me of something, but I don't remember what it was."

Meanwhile, another user has tracked down a webpage for the lamp, and if you were hoping to get your hands on one then it turns out you'll have to part with a whopping £3,500 - and you can pay in cryptocurrency if you fancy.

Offered for sale on monsby.com, a description for the item reads: "I had been working on this lamp for about two years.

"It had different names during that period: Phallamp, Lampenis etc.

"After all, the main idea of this lamp is not in the similarity with the penis, although, of course, it is funny.

"It is about love, light and life. The most optimistic lamp ever."

I think the real optimism comes from whoever stuck a £3,500 ( £4,799) price tag on this.

The lamps are a limited edition with just 50 pieces created, as well as three author copies and a prototype.

Mosby is also offering the chance to buy the item as an NFT - or non-fungible token.

NFTs are digital assets that are unique and can't be exchanged. They hold value as a crypto token - and if you're interested in purchasing Love In Light as an NFT then you can find out more information here.

But if you are hoping to bag yourself the NFT, be warned that it is offered via an auction system and comes with a reserve of £6,666 ($9,138.30) - so you'll need to dig deep if you want to be the lucky owner.
