A woman has been praised for standing up for herself after a random man sat next to her on a nearly empty bus.

Rather than accept his unwanted advances, she asks the creepy stranger why he was so desperate to sit beside her with so many other seats available.

Her brutal response was even captured on camera and has since gone viral on TikTok, with many users applauding the unnamed woman for defending herself.

In fact, the short clip opens with the woman repeatedly telling the man his behaviour is ‘weird’ as he refuses to accept he’s in the wrong.

“You literally chose to sit right next to me on an empty bus, it’s weird…” she tells him, clearly frustrated with his lack of understanding.

Rather than move away, the creep continues to harass the woman and challenges why it’s strange to want to sit next to a total stranger.

Though the young woman tries to explain, the rogue Romeo gets agitated and argues back, yelling: “What does it matter?”

“I don’t come on the bus to start dating someone,” she pointedly tells him, adding: ”I’m on the bus to get from A to B. I don’t come to start talking to…”

Like a child, the man starts to shout down the woman as he doesn’t want to hear her reasonable explanation and tells her to ‘shut up’ repeatedly.

At this point, a male rider also starts to argue with the stranger as he keeps harassing the woman and refuses to leave her alone.

Ultimately, the clip ends with the stranger still shouting the odds on the bus as he leaves – much to the relief of others still onboard.

Despite her clearly wanting to be left alone, the man keep harassing the woman.

Since being uploaded to the social media platform yesterday, the clip has gained 2.8 million views with many TikTok users have praised the woman for defending herself.

One wrote: “…shes in the right. you don't force conversation on someone that clearly wants to be left alone.”

Others have agreed, asking why the man was so insistent when it was clear the woman wasn’t interested in him.

Another added: “She’s right though, empty bus and you’re coming to sit next to me… FOR WHAT?!?”

Some have also praised the other passenger for supporting the woman after she was harassed.

They wrote: “…respect to the woman standing her ground and the guy who helped as well. I really hope no one got hurt from this.”
