Woman Refuses To Give Waitress Tip And Tells Her To 'Do Better'

Woman Refuses To Give Waitress Tip And Tells Her To 'Do Better'

The customer hit out at the waitress, saying her service 'sucked'

A woman refused to leave a tip for her waitress, telling her to 'do better'. Watch below:

The customer, going by the TikTok handle @biglez7704, visited the Metro Diner in North Carolina recently and claimed that her service was just not good enough.

In a video posted to her page, the woman placed her receipt on the table, and where it says 'tip', the customer wrote the words 'Do Better'.

Speaking over the video, she says: "When your service sucked, here’s your tip, b****."

The video was posted to her channel with the caption: "I had such a rude waitress."

Since the video was shared, it has been viewed more than 233,000 times, with some claiming that the woman may have been a little harsh in her assessment of the waitress' service.

One user wrote: "Sometimes when I get bad service I ask the server if they are going through something or had a bad day. U never know what someone is going through."

Echoing the remarks, another chimed in: "Every restaurant is short staffed right now, especially in the Charlotte area. She is probably doing the best she can. YOU do better."

A third wrote: "As a server, we match energies. Ya we don’t know the full story, but she was probably short-staffed & you gave some tude [attitude] first. She matched it."

While another added: "As someone who works in this understaffed industry, with 7-8 tables with no food runner or busser, struggling to keep up with everything."

In a separate video, the woman explained why she refused to leave a tip, saying that she and her sister had visited the restaurant for some breakfast.

The woman explained how she sent her orders back twice.

She said that despite explaining to the waitress how they wanted their food prepared, when it arrived, it seemed as though the server had ignored them and their orders had to be taken back twice.

The woman added that she likes to tip, but only if she gets good service and if staff aren't 'rude' to her.

And some users came out and backed her corner.

One said: "Why would she tip if the server was rude? These comments are insane, you can't act however you want and expect a tip. DO BETTER."

Another added: "Y’all don’t even know what she experienced so how are you gonna make judgements about it."

While a third put: "ZERO to do with 'being broke' some waiters are just plain rude for no reason and those 'I’m a waitress and we match energies' don’t speak for everyone."

Earlier this year, a Hooters waitress revealed she was once left in tears by a customer who left her a nasty message on the receipt.

The woman, who goes by the TikTok handle @keylamxo, shared a video on her channel in which she recalled a visit from a group of adults and children.

In the video, she explained that they came in and splashed out $624 (£470) on food and shots of tequila.

"When the mum asked for the cheque, she was like, 'If you would have told me the tab was this high, maybe you would have gotten a tip'.

"Like ma'am, I just work here! I'm not pocket watching, I do not know how much is in your bank account.

"Maybe you shouldn't go out to eat if you can't f*****g afford to."
