Woman who 'took her shot' on mystery stranger on plane has already been on date

She said she ‘wanted to shoot [her] shot’, but didn’t want to make the man feel ‘uncomfortable' so slipped him a sneaky note

A woman who decided to take her ‘shot’ with a mystery stranger on a plane has already been on a date, having thankfully documented the whole thing on TikTok so that we could grab the popcorn and come along for the journey.

Natalie was flying home from Nashville, Tennessee, to San Diego, California, when she spotted an attractive man sitting in the row in front of her.

She said she ‘wanted to shoot [her] shot’, but didn’t want to make the man feel ‘uncomfortable’ or create an awkward situation, so she decided to wait until the very end of the flight.

As the plane was getting ready to land, Natalie slipped him a note on a napkin that said: "If you're single / interested text me sometime," adding her number so he could contact her if he wished.

The man, who was also from San Diego, then turned back round to her and introduced himself, and the pair had a brief conversation before they parted ways with a smile.

An hour after they left the plane, Natalie got a text from him and they started talking.

He wrote: "Hey Natalie, nice to meet you. And yes single and interested."

She has revealed they’ve even now had a date, and that it turns out he lives just 20-30 minutes away from her.

The mystery man had sent her some suggestions, writing: "I'm free tomorrow and Monday night. Down for a date night?

"There's a couple of fun places I've been wanting to check out."

In an update video yesterday, Natalie said they’d been on the date and that it went ‘really well’.

“He offered to pick me up, but he’s a complete stranger so I have this rule that I’m not going to get in a car with a complete stranger who I’m going on a date with – but that was brownie points!” she said.

“So we meet there, he took me to Korean barbeque, and I’ve never had Korean barbeque before.”

Natalie said ‘conversations went well’ and that they had ‘a good amount in common’.

“Then we went to this little ice cream place and had ice cream, and it was really good,” she continued.

“And we joked about me shooting my shot. He was like, ‘Forget dating apps, I’m just going to go on a Southwest plane and look for a cute girl with a napkin if this doesn’t work out!'

“The end of the date, he walked me to my car, opened my door, very sweet.

“And that’s just about it.”

Natalie said he’d asked to see her later this week, but that she’d give another update ‘if anything else happens’, adding: “We’ll see!”

Stay tuned, folks...
