Warning: This article contains discussion of child abuse which some readers may find distressing.

A police raid in Germany has reportedly discovered several pieces of 'evidence' against Christian Brueckner, who is suspected of having abducted and allegedly killed Madeleine McCann.

The case of the missing British three-year-old, who went missing in Praia da Luz, Portugal in 2007, has long baffled detectives.

In 2020, Brueckner was confirmed to be under investigation in the McCann case, however, he was acquitted of the claims last year. He is currently in prison for the 2005 rape of an American woman in Portugal.

According to a joint investigation between The Sun and Channel 4, over 100 police officers reportedly visited a property owned by Breuckner in Neuwegersleben recently and made some truly horrifying discoveries that supposedly provides sufficient evidence to suggest Madeleine is dead.

Police reportedly uncovered an unlicensed gun and ammunition in the factory's premises, as well as children's toys and bikes.

As well as these, more than 75 children's swimming costumes were also discovered in the factory. A case of pictures also allegedly included shots of girls aged as young as four and five.

Insurance document

Police also reportedly uncovered an insurance document which claimed Brueckner had crashed his motorhome at a festival in Orgiva, Spain.

According to a witness, Helge B, he'd allegedly confessed that Madeleine 'didn't scream' while at the festival in 2008, though the credibility of this had been questioned.

Chemicals inside his car

A car which matches the description of Brueckner's car in Germany was found inside the factory, with photos showing bottles of what could be chemicals inside.

While police seemingly destroyed the bottles without testing them, investigators reportedly believe that it could have been chloroform or ether.

Incriminating images

Photos of Brueckner also show him close to where Maddie went missing in 2007.

He can be seen posing at the Arade Dam, 35 miles from Praia da Luz, which is said to be a key location for detectives covering the case, according to the Metro.

A SatNav has also documented his movement in the years following the three-year-old's disappearance.

Hard drive

While it remains unclear what photos exactly were found on Brueckner's hard drive, it is supposed to contain evidence that supposedly makes investigators believe Madeleine might be dead, according to The Mirror.

It is believed some of the hard drive's content will be revealed on Channel 4 and The Sun's documentary.

Suitcase full of images

Finally, a suitcase full of images of young girls was also uncovered by police. A list of phone numbers and an address book were also reportedly found inside the metal suitcase.

This evidence will be studied in a new documentary, Madeleine McCann: The Unseen Evidence, which you can watch tonight.

LADbible Group has contacted Brueckner's legal team for comment.
