The German government has issued a worrying new legislation for the country and its male population, in case of war.
The world has been increasingly facing tensions all over the globe in recent years, and that instability has caused the Germans to take a hard stance to protect itself.
From the Russian invasion of Ukraine, to the Israeli occupation of Palestine, the Israel-led US war with Iran, and now Israel is attacking Lebanon.
With all of this going on, it seems like things are heading for disaster.

Not only that, but US president Donald Trump, has also issued a stark threat to Iran as he gave them an ultimatum that runs out tonight.
If they don’t pick one of his terms - ‘make a deal or open up the Hormuz Strait’ - he’ll rain down ‘hell’ on the nation.
In light of all of this, German is keeping its fighting-age men in the country.

The nation now requires all men between 17 and 45 to request permission from the Bundeswehr, Germany’s military, so they can leave the country for longer than three months.
The new rule says that any ‘male persons who have reached the age of 17 must obtain permission from the responsible career centre of the German armed forces if they wish to leave the Federal Republic of Germany for more than three months,’ per The Telegraph.
This rule is to ensure that its fighting-age men are not far away in case of national crisis, such as a war.
The legislation is part of Germany's goal to increase the number of troops to 460,000 by the mid-2030s, per Deutschland.

Germany introduced new measures that would see military sign-ups as optional, but all 18-year-old men will have to fill out a 'declaration of willingness', per DW.
according to DW, all 18-year-old men will have to
Women will also have the option of taking this test, but this will not be mandatory.
This new law will also see politicians able to conscript those between the ages of 17 and 45 at a later date if they don’t meet their recruitment targets, reports the Daily Mail.
A Bundeswehr spokesperson also told the outlet: “The background and guiding principle of this regulation is to ensure a reliable and informative military register for when needed ... in case of emergency, we need to know who might be staying abroad for an extended period.”
LADbible reached out to the Bundeswehr for comment.
