A scientist who's drawn comparisons to the legendary seer Nostradamus has revealed what might be next for Donald Trump having seemingly predicted the recent ceasefire with Iran.
With the world on tenterhooks ever since the first strikes on the Middle East were reported at the end of February, many of us have been gaining as much information as we can about the conflict to understand how it might affect us.
Trump's recent post on Truth Social left a lot of people panicking, especially with the indirect references to the nuclear weapons at the United States' disposal, as the president warning that a whole civilisation would die.
Fortunately, the two countries were able to come to an 11th hour agreement on a ceasefire, with Iran also agreeing to reopen the Strait of Hormuz which has caused huge stress and forced the price of fuel up in recent weeks.

However, we perhaps needn't have worried about the US turning to its nuclear weapons for the second time in its history, as the Chinese-Canadian academic Professor Jiang Xueqin might just have it all figured out.

He predicted back in 2024 that the US would go to war with Iran should Trump win the election, and followed that up with another suggestion that it was a war that the US simply couldn't win.
That certainly seems to be the case right now, despite the claims of those in the White House, with Iran holding more advantages according to the professor.
He said: "Given my analysis of how the war is progressing, I think that Iran has many more advantages over the United States.
"The reality is, right now, it's a war of attrition between the United States and Iran, and Iranians have been preparing 20 years for this conflict."
He said that they had 'practice runs' last year to prepare, adding: "What the Iranians are doing is waging war against the entire global economy," in reference to their closing of the Strait of Hormuz.
Professor Xueqin's predictions are holding true for now, as he also suggests that the US wouldn't be able to occupy any Iranian land, which it currently doesn't.

Although strikes were able to kill Iran's Supreme Leader, the professor claims that financial constraints mean that the US will soon have no other option than to launch a ground assault.
It was announced earlier this week that all qualifying American citizens and immigrants living in the United States will be automatically registered for the military draft from December 2026, and since soldiers are far cheaper than missiles, it is easy to understand, albeit maybe not comprehend, how Trump might be tempted to involve more members of the military in this war.
Air strikes alone cannot win this war, according to the professor, and while we are currently in a two-week ceasefire, it seems likely that the longer it goes on, the more likely we are to see US soldiers setting up camp in Iran.
