Connor Murphy, an influencer well known in the world of 'looksmaxxing', has died after drowning in a lake in Thailand, it has been reported.
Local Thai outlet The Bangkok Post reports that the Texas-born body-builder, aged 32, jumped into a lake at a housing estate in Samut Prakan province after becoming 'frenzied' when he arrived in a hired vehicle in front of an estate in Bang Phli district.
The outlet states that Murphy began running when police officers arrived at the estate - where he had reportedly been staying with his 22-year-old girlfriend - which is when he jumped in the lake and began swimming.
He continued swimming until he disappeared beneath the water, reports said.

Rescue divers later searched for about 30 minutes before recovering his body around 20 metres from the shore.

Police told the outlet that his body was sent to Ramathibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital for an autopsy.
According to The Independent, Murphy's girlfriend told police that he had been behaving unusually before his death, but said she wasn't aware of any potential drug use.
Murphy's friend, fellow influencer Tony Huge, later confirmed his passing in a message on Instagram.
Murphy famously promoted the 'looksmaxxing' trend, an online subculture in which men attempt to maximise their physical attraction through various different methods, including extremes like plastic surgery.
He would regularly post stunts and skits on his social media accounts and his YouTube channel, where he had more than 2.4 million subscribers.

Tributes have been pouring in online, including from influencer 'Jon Skywalker Brannon', who wrote: "I will always remember you as the young kid who came up in this industry at the same time as me; thrown into a toxic industry and into the unforgiving spotlight of social media with no guidance and no mentor."
“Only God knows the mental and emotional weight you carried throughout the years… the expectations and pressure placed on your shoulders by millions of people who only ever witnessed a facet of your life," he continued.
"What saddens me the most is that the world will probably never know who you truly were behind the persona. Rest in peace my brother. May angels guide you to a better place."
LADbible has contacted Samut Prakan police and Murphy's team for comment.
