President Donald Trump has urged Iran and Israel not to 'violate' the ceasefire which came into force today (24 June), albeit in confusing fashion.
The US' commander-in-chief shared a post to Truth Social in the early hours of the morning announcing that an armistice between the two nations is now in action - but the timings didn't exactly add up.
He told the world that a 'complete' armistice would begin 'six hours from now' in a social media post shared at 18:00 local time in Washington, however, that deadline came and went while missiles were still flying.

It was originally scheduled to come into force at approximately 5am UK time today, but it seems there may have been some slight delays.
Trump wrote: "It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!)"
He then followed it up with a warning to both countries, which read: "THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT!"

The President also shared another post where he dubbed the recent conflict between Iran and Israel as 'the 12 day war'.

"On the assumption that everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both Countries, Israel and Iran, on having the Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end, what should be called, 'THE 12 DAY WAR'," he added in another upload.
Iran then announced that the ceasefire with Israel has been 'imposed', shortly after the country were reported to have fire 'a last round of missiles' towards Israel before the truce came into effect.
The Islamic Republic's state TV news channel, IRINN, also claimed that Trump had 'begged' for an armistice.
Israel was the last country to join the party and confirm the speculation of a ceasefire on the world stage.
Benjamin Netanyahu is set to deliver a statement on the dramatic development later today - but his government have already warned Israel will respond 'forcefully' to any violations of the ceasefire.

Netanyahu's office said that Israeli rockets had eliminated 'dual immediate existential threat' from nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles in Iran.
The statement claimed that Israel has 'inflicted severe damage on the military leadership, and destroyed dozens of central Iranian government targets', while also 'severely struck government targets in the heart of Tehran, eliminating hundreds of Basij operatives'.
"Israel thanks President Trump and the United States for their support in defence and their participation in eliminating the Iranian nuclear threat," the nation added.
Trump had been ironing out the details of the ceasefire with Netanyahu, according to a senior White House official, while vice president JD Vance, secretary of state Marco Rubio and special envoy Steve Witkoff have been in communication with Iran through direct and indirect channels.

In another Truth Social post, the President claimed that both countries had 'came to him almost simultaneously' in search of peace.
"I knew the time was NOW," Trump said. "The World, and the Middle East, are the real WINNERS! Both Nations will see tremendous LOVE, PEACE, AND PROSPERITY in their futures.
"They have so much to gain, and yet, so much to lose if they stray from the road of RIGHTEOUSNESS & TRUTH. The future for Israel & Iran is UNLIMITED, & filled with great PROMISE. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH!"
