The truth about a 'white bag' that was spotted on the table during a meeting between UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, has been revealed.
The trio headed for the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv over the weekend to show support for Volodymyr Zelenskyy and call for a 30-day ceasefire ahead of further peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.
On a train bound for Kyiv, conspiracy theorists seized on a picture of Starmer, Macron and Merz which showed a 'white bag' on the table between the three men, though it turned out to be nothing of the sort.

Russian social media channels tried to claim that a white object on the table between the three European leaders was 'cocaine', but the conspiracy theory has been shut down by clearer pictures from the French government which pointed out it was just a tissue.
They said: "When European unity becomes inconvenient, disinformation goes so far as to make a simple tissue look like drugs.

"This fake news is being spread by France’s enemies, both abroad and at home. We must remain vigilant against manipulation."
Other conspiracy theorists had tried to claim that Merz was holding a white 'cocaine spoon', which turned out to be a plastic coffee stirrer.

Russia's foreign ministry tried supporting the conspiracy theorists as their spokeswoman posted on Telegram that 'a Frenchman, an Englishman and a German' had been seen with cocaine paraphernalia on a train.
"The fate of Europe is being decided by utterly (drug) dependent individuals," Maria Zakharova wrote.
"It’s as if the Almighty Himself is lifting the veil on this putrid spectacle."
She also called Zelenskyy an 'unstable cocaine addict', which according to The Times is a regular claim made by the Kremlin.

Footage of the meeting was shared around by various conspiracy accounts, including Alex Jones, otherwise known as the American guy who talks about 'gay frogs' and has had to pay a fortune to the Sandy Hook victims for making a plethora of false claims about them.

Russia's propaganda machine is regularly churning out misinformation which sounds ridiculous once it leaves its bubble, as Vladimir Putin's regime has plenty of people willing to say whatever he wants them to say.
They like talking about how they could wipe out Europe with just a few missiles, and The Times reports that in their personal attacks targeted at Macron, they claim that he is secretly gay and that his wife was born a man.
