Russian propagandist issues chilling 'repeat of WW2' threat to Europe in scathing on-screen rant

He issued a chilling warning

We regret to inform you that Vladimir Putin's 'mouthpiece', who has repeatedly threatened Brits with certain death, is at it again.

If you haven't heard of Vladimir Solovyov, he's a propagandist who in the past has said that any British and French troops that are deployed to Ukraine as peacekeeping forces 'will all die', and claimed that all it would take is one missile to wipe the UK off the map of the world.

He's also said that he thinks it's 'totally boorish' for countries to be supporting Ukraine with weapons and material in the face of Russia's brutal invasion that has now spiralled from a 'special military operation' that was supposed to last a few days into something that has lasted more than three years.

In his latest rant he claimed there was a 'Nazi Europe' that was 'pretending' to be democratic.

He said: "You are the successors of those who stomped Europe into the dirt and the blood of WW2. Do you want to repeat this experience?

"Your blood is on your own heads."

Solovyov, who in 2022 was banned from entering EU countries and had all his assets in the EU frozen, claimed he had faced sanctions because he is 'a Jew and an antifascist', adding: "Shame on Europe that returned to its Nazi roots."

This week, various European leaders travelled to the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv and called for Vladimir Putin to accept demands for a 30 day ceasefire.

UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said there would be even more sanctions placed on Russia if Putin 'turns his back on peace'. The Kremlin has responded by saying 'trying to pressure us is quite useless'.

Russia has offered 'direct talks' between itself and Ukraine over ending the war, but insisted that any negotiations on peace must come before a ceasefire rather than temporarily pausing the hostilities to negotiate the potential for a more permanent end.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said it was a 'positive sign' that the Russians were willing to talk about peace, but reiterated his call for a ceasefire to start tomorrow (12 May) ahead of talks beginning next week (15 May).

He said: "The entire world has been waiting for this for a very long time. And the very first step in truly ending any war is a ceasefire.

"There is no point in continuing the killing even for a single day."

Putin, for his part, has said he doesn't 'rule out' negotiations with Ukraine leading to 'a new truce'.

US president Donald Trump, who has been working to negotiate a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine, said in a statement on Truth Social: "A potentially great day for Russia and Ukraine! Think of the hundreds of thousands of lives that will be saved as this never ending ‘bloodbath’ hopefully comes to an end. It will be a whole new, and much better, WORLD.”
