People are seriously divided over a woman's surgical transformation, with some joking that she'll now need a new passport.

But it goes without saying that the idea of plastic surgery will always split the crowd, and this is no different.

Turkey-based clinic Este Istanbul has gone viral on Instagram after sharing the incredible results from patient Katherine's seemingly complex surgery.

She looks like a completely different person after undergoing specialist plastic surgery on her face, with the new structure of her face, nose, and cheeks making her look unrecognisable.

"To give our patient Katherine an aesthetic appearance in line with the golden ratio principle, we performed several surgical procedures," Este Istanbul explained.

"Firstly, we shaped the jawline to achieve a V-shaped contour.

"Following this, we performed revision rhinoplasty to refine the nose structure and harmonize it with the facial features.

"We conducted under-eye rejuvenation surgery to remove the tired and aged look around the eyes, giving her a more youthful and dynamic expression.

"To enhance the overall facial aesthetics, we performed a cheek lift.

"Finally, we executed buccal fat removal to eliminate excess fat in the cheeks, creating more defined and sharp facial contours.

"These combined surgical procedures resulted in a natural and aesthetically balanced appearance for our patient."

Amid sharing the before and after photos on social media, some viewers were not on board with plastic surgery in general, as one person wrote: "Can we please normalise looking normal or average again?

"Does everyone have to look like supermodels when it means changing their whole appearance 100 percent, paying a small estate mortgage and living in pain and with risk of complications for months and months? This scares the s**t out of me."

"Downright scary… just imagine her husband wondering why their children look like someone else!" a second added.

"She'll need a new passport and drivers license," a third joked.

Meanwhile, others thought the critics were being too harsh, as a fourth commented: "You know what’s wild about this?? She is probably the most beautiful soul inside and now she feels more beautiful on the outside."

"Y’all are the true definitely of beauty is skin deep. This woman did nothing wrong," a fifth said.

"Let her live. I think she looks fabulous and now she probably feels it too! Bless her!"

"I can’t with the negative comments. Fact is, she looks beautiful in the after. Period. What the f is wrong with you people?" someone else added.
