The New Trailer For 'The Autopsy of Jane Doe' Is Scary As Hell

Frightening stuff.

Put me in a morgue for the day and I sure as hell wouldn't have any fun, so I've no idea how coroners deal with that day-in day-out. Handling corpses as a profession sounds bad enough, I can't even imagine what it would be like if you had to contend with the bodies coming alive and wreaking havoc.

By the looks of the trailer, this is exactly what Brian Cox's and Emile Hirsch's characters have to contend with in new horror-flick The Autopsy of Jane Doe, which looks like it could well be a contender for scariest film of 2017.

The movie is André Øvredal's follow-up to 2010s Trollhunter, which horror fans will know was scary as hell.

In the film, Brian and Emile star as a team of father/son coroners who are tasked with performing the autopsy of a woman named Jane Doe, who was found in the basement of a home where a family were brutally murdered.

The standard autopsy starts to go wrong as they discover that while she's still perfectly preserved on the outside, her body contains gruesome clues as to how she died.

The film will see a limited release in the US on 21 December, but it looks like we'll have to wait for the new year til we see this in British cinemas. Can't wait.
