A teenager who started a marketing and design company to earn pocket money has become a millionaire, and I don't know about you but as a 25-year-old man it's making me wonder what the fuck I've been doing with my life.

Ben Towers has agreed a multi-million pound merger for his Kent based design agency. The move comes seven years after he launched the company from his bedroom, aged just 11.

The teenager, who lives in Gillingham, has racked up a whole host of achievements in his career, even once being described by Sir Richard Branson as 'one of the UK's most exciting entrepreneurs'.

Ben, 18, will join the board of Chatham-based communications and marketing firm Zest after agreeing to hand over his Maidstone-based business Towers Design.

He grew Towers Design from a way to top up his pocket money, but it has since become into a digital marketing agency employing 22 people in Manchester, London and Kent.

His company had been working in partnership with Zest since last summer and the merger is forecast to double the combined firms' turnover to £3.5million by the end of the year.

Mr Towers, who will become managing director of the Zest Live division, told Kent Online: "This merger paves the way in offering clients the next evolution in communications.

"It brings together traditional marketing, digital and social strategy, layering it with targeted, content and influencer driven marketing.

"I'm really excited to be joining Zest to lead the content, influencer and social team to creating successful worldwide campaigns for clients."

Apparently Ben's not the only teenager making mega-bucks.

Meet Ben Pasternak, the 17-year-old lad being dubbed 'the most enviable teen in NYC'.

Just six months ago, he was living in Sydney, Australia, with his parents and younger siblings. Now he's living in a studio apartment in New York City, after dropping out of high school, and gearing up to launch his own company.

After creating a smartphone game called "Impossible Rush" when he was just 15, Pasternak caught the attention of tech giants such as Facebook and Google and had the chance to meet Apple's CEO Tim Cook.

He then decided to drop out of school in the middle 10th grade to work on his new venture, Flogg. Basically, it's a an app that combines the features of Tinder and eBay to help teenager's sell their unwanted shit.

Despite the fact the young CEO works hectic 16-hour days building his company and oversees members of staff, he admits he struggles when it comes to the mundane adult responsibilities.

"There's so much stuff I've got to take care of, like dishes and washing clothes," he said.

"I always fall behind on my bills - [bill collectors] call me on the phone and they're like, 'You've got to pay this,' but I keep forgetting. When I lived with my parents, I took so much stuff for granted."

We hear you, Ben. Keep smashing it though and maybe you can employ someone to look after all that shit for you.
