Olympic gold medallist Mack Horton has had a dangerous mole removed after a fan contacted him and suggested he should get it checked out.
While most of us watching the Olympics at home were sat thinking, 'I can do that, easily', one keen fan spotted the oddly shaped appendage and it raised concern.
Mack, who won the 400m freestyle at the Rio Olympics, took to Instagram to share a photo of him after having the mole removed and thanked the unnamed fan who contacted his swim team doctor, saying it was a 'very good call'.
Depending how closely you look at Mack's chest you may have noticed that, over the years, the mole has gone darker and increased in size. Changing in colour, size, asymmetry and bleeding can all be warning signs that your moles need to be checked out.
