D'oh.

It's been a couple of months since the UK voted to leave the EU and since then we've all been sat around wondering what's going to happen next.

There's been shit-loads of rumours and scaremongering but not many facts, really. Last month we were told it might mean cheaper booze - woohoo - but anyone who went on holiday in Europe this year will probably be fuming over the rubbish pound-to-euro exchange rate. So, did the UK do the right thing? Don't ask me, how the fuck would I know?

If you're sitting there going, 'yes, we definitely did the right thing, of course we did,' then I have news that might make you think again because Jean-Claude Juncker (amazing name), who is president of the European Commission, has announced plans to install free WiFi in public spaces across the EU. He will also get rid of data roaming fees and bring 5G connection for everyone. Fuck.

Juncker said: "We propose today to equip every European village and every city with free wireless internet access around the main centres of public life by 2020. Digital technologies and digital communications are permeating every aspect of life. All they require is access to high-speed internet."

I swear they're just doing this to show us what we're missing, like when your ex has a magical transformation after you break up and posts pictures of themselves looking amazing online.

Juncker pledged that everywhere in the EU will have the connectivity by 2025, according to Wired, by which point we won't be a part of the EU anymore.
