'First Dates' Couple Make Shocking Discovery Halfway Through Their Date

Worth the wait.

As it's Valentine's Day and flowers are in bloom and love is in the air, I'd like to take the opportunity to remind you that we're all born alone and, ultimately, we all die alone.

And like a mess-head in search of their next fix, the infatuated exhibit all the general symptoms of addiction.

As philosopher Berit Brogaard author of On Romantic Love: Simple Truths about a Complex puts it: "Though falling in love is associated with anxiety and stress, this state-in combination with the belief that there may be reciprocation-is also at times accompanied by intensely pleasant emotions. These emotions arise from an underlying brain chemistry that resembles those triggered by cocaine use."

So I guess the question is, you enjoying today are you? You high on that love, are you? Or craving it, about to go out tonight looking for your next fix, mate?

One pair who looked to be high as a kite were Vince and Anna, who appeared on the First Dates Valentine's Special, and reunited after twenty years in a twist of fate.

Vince and Anna were thrown together in Fred Sirieix's restaurant in the Valentine's special of the Channel 4 show on Monday night.

After they had got though their starters and mains that they suddenly realised they actually knew each other. It turned out the pair had even been on a date before and even ended the night with a kiss.

From what Vince said, it sounds like Anna might have had another dude on the go which curtailed their romance. But it looks like they will be giving it a second chance.

When asked whether they'd meet up again Vince answered: "I'd like to", while Anna admitted she wanted to just to work out what previously happened between them: "Yeah, I'd like to. I think we need to find out what happened!"

A happy ending, however not everyone's quite so lucky on the show.

The Man Who Pissed Himself On First Dates

Poor Lee Felton, from Leigh, appeared on Channel 4's First Dates before Christmas and, after hearing him shout, 'I think I've dribbled', it became pretty clear why he had been unlucky in love in the past.

Lee was paired with nurse Abigail and the date seemed to be going OK until he needed a piss.

After excusing himself, he was filmed in the bathroom (bit creepy) giving an update to a mate on the phone, before saying: "I'm dying for a piss. I'm going to piss. Come on, you bastard."

I'm assuming that last remark was aimed at his fly.

After he'd 'dribbled' on himself he casually strolled back to the table and told Abigail: "I sprayed water and it sprayed all over me! It looks like I've pissed myself."

Nice that he can lie right to her face so early in the relationship; that will no doubt save him time later on down the line.

Despite presumably smelling of piss, our man, Lee, secured a second date with Abigail. Fair play.

Although, she might change her mind once she watches the show back.
