Scarlett Johansson Lookalike Doesn't Like Getting Mistaken For The Star

Kate Shumskaya often gets mixed up for the 37-year-old actor but wants to remind people she's 'just a normal girl from a small Russian town'

A woman who earns a living by looking like Scarlett Johansson 'doesn't know why' people confuse her with the actor and says she doesn't like it when the two get mixed up. You can watch the video below and make your own mind up:

Kate Shumskaya, who is known for her striking resemblance to the 37-year-old star, was first approached when she was around 14 by a classmate who was holding a picture of Johansson.

At the time, the youngster 'looked so similar' to the Black Widow actor that she thought it was a picture of herself that she couldn't remember being taken.

A few years later, the 25-year-old found herself carving an unusual and impressive social media career as a lookalike. She doesn't want to disclose exactly how much money she makes from being a lookalike but insists that she is 'comfortable'.

Despite getting paid for 'various deals across social media', she is adamant that she isn't trying to impersonate the actor herself, more the roles she takes on in films.

Speaking to LADbible she said: "I don't want to live someone else's life, pretend to be someone else. I've never imitated Scarlett. All I'm doing is cosplaying her characters from the movies, not Scarlett herself.

"There are subscribers who think that I am her, for example people text me about 'my perfect acting' in the Black Widow movie. But I don't like it. I'm not Scarlett. My name is Ekaterina Shumskaya."

She went on to add: "I am a separate person and I want people to understand and see this."

Speaking about her earnings, Kate continued: "I’ve done very well financially through various deals across my social media platforms which I’m really grateful for.

"I don’t want to disclose the exact amount but I’m comfortable."

And taking into consideration her striking features and adoring fans, most would imagine that Shumskaya’s dating life is as successful as her social media career.

This isn’t the case, she claims. Some men forget she isn’t actually Scarlett Johansson.

She explained: "Sometimes men have thought I was Scarlett since I look like her. For example, I have had men expecting me to be more elegant and polite, like a character she has played in a film.

"They tend to forget that I’m just a normal girl from a small Russian town."
