Everyone is very confused by Anthony Joshua's post-fight behaviour after being defeated by Oleksandr Usyk

The British fighter lost the long-awaited rematch with the Ukrainian

Anthony Joshua had fans totally confused with his behaviour following his fight with Oleksandr Usyk.

The British fighter went up against the Ukrainian in their long-awaited heavyweight rematch, with the 35-year-old retaining his titles.

AJ put on a much better performance than the first bout back in September last year, but he just wasn't able to keep the pace with Usyk at the Jeddah Superdome in Saudi Arabia tonight.

However, things took a strange turn after Usyk was declared the winner via a split decision, with Joshua throwing two of the belts out of the ring and storming off, seemingly upset.

He then returned and grabbed the microphone and gave a very bizarre speech.

"I am giving you my story," Joshua told the crowd.

"I was going to jail. I got bailed and started training my arse off, because if I got sentenced then I would not have been able to fight.

"I could have done better, but it showed the hard work he must have put in to beat me.

"Please give him a round of applause as our heavyweight champion of the world."

He went on: "I’m not a 12-round fighter. I am a new breed of heavyweight, Mike Tyson, Sonny Liston – they say, 'He doesn’t throw combinations like Rocky Marciano', because I am 18 stone, I am heavy.

"It is hard work. This guy here is a phenomenal talent. We are going to cheer for him."

The former champion's outburst left fans watching back at home scratching their heads.

One user said: "What on earth is #AnthonyJoshua doing in this post-fight speech? Heads gone. Embarrassing himself. Painful watch."

Another chipped in: "Anthony Joshua. This is the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever seen."

"Will someone please find Anthony Joshua’s head," put a third.

While another added: "Anthony Joshua having a melt down in the ring and flushing his "Mr Humble" reputation down the toilet."

In his post-fight speech, Usyk dedicated his victory to his family and his country, which is still in the midst of a war with Russia.

He said: "I want thank everyone who prayed for me. I want to thank God for the help that he gave me today because he did give me a lot today. My Lord is Jesus Christ."
