UFC president Dana White was filmed reacting to the shocking footage of Nate Diaz choking out Logan Paul lookalike Rodney Petersen.

White initially thought the altercation was even spicier than it was, mistaking Petersen for the actual Logan Paul.

Diaz was in New Orleans for the Misfits boxing at the XULA Convention Center to support his friend Chris Avila when - for reasons currently unknown - things got a bit rowdy.

The former UFC fighter can be seen wrapping his arm round Petersen’s neck, with the Logan Paul lookalike appearing to be out cold by the end of the clip.

Petersen is a TikToker who has a long history of being mistake for Paul, although he can’t see it himself.

He told Insider in 2022: "I don't see the resemblance at all — we're both above six feet and have blonde hair and a beard, but when I look in the mirror, I obviously see myself, not someone else.

“I look skinnier than Paul and have a thinner face, so I often receive comments from people calling me ‘Logan Paul after drugs’, or the ‘cracked out’ version of Paul.”

One person who can’t tell Paul and Petersen apart, however, is Dana White.

White was filming a livestream in Las Vegas with YouTuber Adin Ross when the footage of the Diaz bust-up was brought to his attention.

Watching the video with Ross, White asks: “Is that Logan Paul? He knocked him out!

“That guy's head bounced like a f**king basketball.”

Ross corrects him: “That’s not Logan.”

White eventually agrees: “He’s way too skinny, Logan Paul’s a big motherf**ker.”

Ross exclaims: “He choked him out! Put him to sleep!”

White isn’t the only one from the world of UFC to react to the footage.

Dana White thought Petersen was actually Logan Paul.

Conor McGregor - who was famously beaten by Diaz in 2016 before McGregor claimed the victory in their rematch the same year - said of his former adversary: “Hahaha Nate on a rampage tonight! Let’s go Nate! Hahaha.”

He added in a follow-up tweet: “Lovely little knee to the body hahahaa”

Petersen has now also had his say on the incident, confirming on his Instagram account that it was in fact him who was battered by Diaz.

He wrote: “Got attacked by Nate Diaz. I was like wtf bro chill.”

Petersen is a martial arts enthusiast, but unfortunately that didn’t do him any good when he got on the wrong side of Diaz.
