Footballing superstar Declan Rice has thrown his support behind Jaackmaate’s campaign to make ‘Rice Rice Baby’ the chant of winter ahead of the biggest footballing tournament of the year.

In a TikTok posted on Declan’s official channel a week before the tournament kicks off, the 23-year-old West Ham player can be seen dancing alongside his three nephews to Jaackmaate’s own version of the adapted Vanilla Ice song ‘Ice Ice Baby’.

Last week, Youtuber Jaackmaate used his Instagram to amplify his shout for ‘Rice Rice Baby’ to become the chant of the nation's campaign this winter as they bid to become world champions for the first time since 1966. Jaackmaate also tagged Müller in the graphic, with the hope that they would be able to support his idea and needless to say they were fully behind it.

In November 2021, Declan performed his rendition of ‘Rice Rice Baby’ during a Twitter karaoke space of ‘Sing Your Dialect’ to over 75,000 people. As soon as his performance was over, social media blew up as it was shared across multiple social channels and picked up by numerous news outlets across the world.

The chant initially arose after West Ham’s fans were heard chanting about the midfielder during their Premier League games when Declan was establishing himself as a first-team regular at the club.

This campaign from Jaackmaate all stems from the increased popularity of fans adopting the Atomic Kitten hit ‘Whole Again’. Throughout the summer of 2018, fans at games, in pubs and at home sang ‘Southgate You’re The One!’ as the team progressed all the way to the semi-finals.

But now with the help from the man himself Declan Rice, and Müller, we may all be chanting ‘Rice Rice Baby’ in our living rooms this winter as football fever is set to grip the nation once again!

Now’s your chance to recreate the ‘Rice Rice Baby’ chant. Whether that’s getting your nan to do the rap or getting your cat to meow to the tune, show us your creativity!
