The two British heavyweight boxing champions have finally agreed to a fight together and in preparation for their upcoming match, Tyson Fury decided to break Anthony Joshua's high score on a punch machine.

Watch the video below:

Tyson Fury, 34, not only outscored his upcoming ring rival, Anthony Joshua, 32, but he also broke the machine's record.

In a short video posted on Instagram Stories by former professional boxer Andy Lee yesterday (14 September), Fury can be seen punching the bag and scoring a staggering 993 - comfortably beating the machine's record of 991.

Upon reading the score, the group cheer at Fury's impressive punching power - with the heavyweight boxing champion jumping for joy at his record-breaking punch.

Back in 2017, Joshua had a go on a similar machine during his appearance on The Graham Norton Show.

The 32-year-old only reached a score of 848 - more than 100 points less than his competitor.

While the two machines are clearly different and the scores cannot accurately be compared to each other, Fury's excitement definitely served as hype for the upcoming match.

The news follows Joshua's acceptance to Fury's call-out for a fight later this year.

Taking to Twitter, Fury reached out to Joshua posting: "Yo @anthonyjoshua what you saying big G let’s give the fanz what they want as Usyk is bi**ing???

"I got the date and venue who will rule Britannia?" the two-time world heavyweight champion added.

Joshua replied: "Yea calm. I don’t do the online discussions just for clout, so if your really about it shout @258mgt.

"I’ll be ready in December. Khalas."

After some back and forth, discussing which date the dream-duo fight would take place, Joshua's management team, 258 MGT, released the news.

The statement to Twitter read: "258 and Matchroom Boxing can confirm, on behalf of Anthony Joshua, that we accepted all terms presented to us by Fury’s team for a fight Dec 3rd last Friday."

The statement also explained that there would be an official agreement to 'halt all communication' due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II last Thursday (8 September).

"We are awaiting a response," 258 MGT added.

Following the statement, Frank Warren, Fury’s UK promoter and Queensberry Promotions boss, alerted Joshua's management team of the contract they would shortly be receiving.

He tweeted: "Contract will be with you very soon."

To add even more tension into the mix, it was announced on Tuesday (13 September) that England could be playing a World Cup match on the same date as the much-anticipated Fury vs Joshua fight.

The knockout stage of the tournament will see the winners of Group A competing against the runners up of Group B on 3 December.

England are in Group B, and if they finish second in their group, they will be scheduled to play that day.

If that does happen, it will leave both football and boxing fans with a difficult dilemma when figuring out what channel to tune into.
