The new patch for PUBG won't only boast a brand new map but it will also welcome a new progression styled Event Pass.
Sound familiar? It will do soon.

The new Event Pass will allow players to unlock items as they play their game, and will come partnered with daily, weekly, and map orientated missions to complete. Once these are ticked off, their level ranks up and they will be rewarded with even more exclusive items.
People who don't want to buy the pass can still try out these challenges and earn the rewards, but they will only be a temporary addition to their collection. Players who buy the pass will get to keep all items given, whereas the former will only get the chance to "earn one special item permanently."
We've been used to the Fortnite Battle Pass for a few seasons now, and thanks to an update on Steam it's clear to see that their rivals are going to implement something similar.
What seems to be the only differences, however, is that the PUBG version only lasts for four weeks rather than a whole season. They can also only be bought with real world money, instead of players being able to use virtual currency like Fortnite's V Bucks.
The Event Pass can be tried out right now as it's been uploaded to the game's text servers, but the full release will be the same day as the Sanhok map on 22 June.
The update will also include an exclusive QBZ95 assault rifle, which will take the place of the Scar when you're playing on the new tropical island. What do you think of this new addition to the Battle Royale game?
