Mum issues warning to parents over 'inappropriate' viral Halloween decoration

Halloween's toy market is surprisingly messed up, it seems.

Over on TikTok, the US mum who runs the @glow.up.between.naps page wants to 'de-influence' fellow parents from bringing a Jabberin' Jack pumpkin decoration home for the kids to enjoy.

That's because the viral product turns out to be a bit of a pervert.

In her latest video, the concerned party began by encouraging others to listen to one of the pumpkin's songs that she'd recorded, which starts off pretty solemn (à la Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas) before changing tact entirely and descending into a very adult tone.

"Listen to this song they slipped in, and by the way, it gets worse as it goes along," the TikToker mentioned. "You can't skip this song, you have to let the songs play all the way through and it's snuck right on in there. If you have children, just a 'buyer beware'... pay attention, listen to this video before you go out and buy this!"

After lamenting how scaring trick-or-treaters leaves him 'feeling kind of empty', the Jabberin' Jack's voice suddenly hits a hushed register.

"Who wants to be with me for one night?/do I look mesmerising in this light?/this villainous facade is just because I'm shy/come closer/I've a kiss for you and it tastes just like pumpkin pie," go the lyrics.

Reverting back to a crooning chorus, the toy continues: "We'll be wicked for one night/morbid and nefarious/and when the sun goes down/till morning it will just be us".

As @glow.up.between.naps alluded to, the song gets even creepier.

"How would you like to scream all night?" asks Jabberin' Jack. "I'll fill you full of fright/guide you in the darkest deeds/and spoil you with my roasted pumpkin seeds".

Sorry, what?

Finding the whole thing (understandably) hilarious, the content creator's followers had vastly divided reactions to Jabberin' Jack's horny ways.

"This is INSANE for kids but the song is lowkey a banger - it should be marketed for adults," wrote one of them.

"I am 100% convinced this is AI, and they fed it holiday themed songs without checking the contents of said songs" and "WAS MONSTER MASH NOT AN OPTION" read two more comments.

Another couple of users replied: "Oh that is definitely an adult pumpkin" and "Okay at first I was like 'girl, you're being dramatic' but listened to the whole thing... yeah no. nope nope nope. that's not cool."
