An adorable furless and wrinkled cat has racked up thousands of followers on social media thanks to his unusual looks.
Six-year-old sphynx cat Xherdan, from Switzerland, appears to have a constant frown on his heavily wrinkled face, but his owner Sandra Filippi says that despite his grumpy face he's a playful kitty who loves cuddling.

Sandra, 47, said: "When I first saw him, he immediately stole my heart.
"His wrinkled pink skin, as fine as a peach, and his turquoise eyes, I was in love!
"He has had this many wrinkles since the day he was born.

"Xherdan is a very active cat and he talks a great deal, in all pitches, when he is excited, when he is hungry, when he plays or while cuddling and falling asleep, he is like a child and his character is very lovely."
As well as being lovely, his distinctive looks have earned him more than 20,000 followers on Instagram, where he is constantly showered with praise from his fans.
Sandra regularly posts cute snaps of little Xherdan, who seems more than happy to pose for the camera or even don a little outfit for his fans to enjoy.

However, Sandra says that due to his grumpy face people are initially a little bit wary when they first meet Xherdan.
She explained: "Most people are a little bit scared of Xherdan. But then when they meet him they love him!"

Sandra went on to say that owning a sphynx cat can be a lot of work, as they crave human attention and also must be kept neat and clean, but that it's all worth it.

She added: "I regularly clean his eyes, ears and feet, even the claws I have to cut.
"Sphynxes take up a lot of time, they always want to be where their humans are, that should not be underestimated.
"Xherdy makes me and other people laugh, no matter in what moments, and that's the most beautiful thing there is."
