Baba Vanga has terrifying world changing predictions for 2026 with 'date set' for one

With only two-and-a-bit months left of 2025, it’s time to start looking ahead to what is supposedly doomed for 2026 – apparently.

Yeah, for those who are more of a cup-half-empty type of person, you might be eager to know that Baba Vanga gave some terrifying, world-changing predictions for next year.

While she may have died back in 1996, many people still follow and believe the Bulgarian mystic's claims with many of them having well outlived her.

Real name Vangelia Pandeva Gushterova, the blind healer claimed to have foreseen the future and supposedly forecasted the 2022 UK floods as well as the 9/11 attacks among other events.

She also believed this year to have marked the beginning of multiple global happenings that would kick off an apocalypse. And 2026 isn’t short on other interesting happenings, apparently.

Natural disasters

As she seemed to love to do, Baba Vanga’s doling out of natural disasters doesn’t take a break for 2026.

While she ever so helpfully didn’t specify exactly where, the mystic set a combo of mega earthquakes, colossal volcanic eruptions and severe weather to impact as much as eight percent of the entire land mass of Earth. Great.

AI U-turn

How much Baba Vanga could have possibly known about artificial intelligence is up in the air but comments she did make have been tied to it.

Apparently, she alluded to 2026 being the year experts make the realisation they’ve gone ‘too far’ in an advancement – particularly when it comes to ethics. So to be fair, it’s pretty easy to link that with AI.

Space energy and communication

Some pretty interesting bits here to do with our potential friends way out there.

Not quite as doom-and-gloom as some of her other predictions for 2026, Baba Vanga seemed to think we’d be contacted by an unknown civilisation.

And according to Sky History, a date is supposedly set for that to happen in the November with a large craft approaching our planet. I mean, if you believe that anyway.

That’s not it for space-themed predictions, as the mystic reckoned there would be further exploration of Venus. She believed we’d be turning our attention to the ‘Morning Star’ in an attempt to get ourselves some extra energy.

Financial problems

Shock! Baba Vanga reckons we’re going to be struggling with cash.

Not in a spending too much money on the weekend and having to meal prep every day kind of way, but more of an economics prediction.

Having set us on global economic issues for this year, she estimated that any problems would continue into 2026.

Ever-growing conflict

And a last one that given the current tensions might not be the biggest surprise, Baba Vanga reckons 2026 would be a year for international political disputes.

Thankfully, it didn’t seem as though she was referring to nuclear warfare – but apparently had a bit of a lean towards a potential ‘World War III’. So that's not great either.
