Bride Left Embarrassed After Pal Plays 'Incriminating' Voice Note From First Date With New Husband

Sabrina Flores initially played it cool with her husband-to-be, but revealed her true feelings in a voice note to her best friend

A bride was left shocked and laughing at her wedding after one of her guests revealed a voice note she'd left after her first date with her now-husband. Watch her reaction as it's played to all of her guests below:

Sabrina Flores, from North Carolina, met Brendon de Spain on the dating app Bumble two years ago, but rather than let him know exactly how much she liked him straight away she decided to play it cool and play 'hard to get'.

Still, that didn't mean she couldn't let her friends know how she felt, and as so many of us are guilty of doing she decided to gush over her new man in a voice note to best friend John Martin.

What she didn't realise at the time was that John would later decide to return to that voice note to share it with not only Brendon, but also the couple's entire wedding party at their reception in December.

John found the voice note Sabrina had sent him after her first date.

John, who acted as Sabrina's 'maid' of honour, revealed there would be a 'special guest' as he stood up to deliver his speech at the event, saying he was going to let the bride speak 'from the past'.

Sabrina seemed to know exactly what was coming as her jaw dropped and she put her hands to her head in apparent fear for the revelations that were about to be made.

The voice note began: "Oh, um wow. Where to even start?"

Sabrina went on to tell John her date was 'f**king gorgeous', 'f**king jacked' and 'seemed super genuine and sweet', gushing that she'd 'literally never connected with anyone' like she did with Brendon.

Sabrina has said she is grateful for John's speech.

After John wrapped up his speech the bride admitted she was 'terrified' when he revealed his surprise, saying: "Of course, in true best friend fashion, he embarrassed the living daylight out of me, in front of my friends and family, [where I was] dropping the f-bombs all over the place and calling my husband incredibly sexy in front of his grandparents.

"I was hoping it wasn't too incriminating because I went into a lot of detail [back then]. I was sweating."

The bride admitted she wasn't looking for a relationship when she met Brendon, but felt it would be 'fun to have someone to talk to' and suggested going out for breakfast when he raised the question of meeting up.

The pair went on to spend a romantic weekend together and enjoyed a picnic in the park, where Brendon proposed just six months later.

Sabrina said: "We knew instantaneously that it was something very special. When he drove back to his place a couple of days later, I called my best friend.

"Earlier in his speech, [John] said 'I'll never forget the day Sabrina and Brandon met because I asked for an update of her day and instead I got War and Peace'."

She commended John's speech for being 'really original', and said she is 'so grateful' for him including the voice note even if it did take her by surprise. She also admitted she wasn't able to look at Brendon as her candid voice note played out, saying her new husband was 'especially amused' because she had initially been 'playing it so cool'.

Sabrina has since shared the footage of John's speech on TikTok, where she has been met with nothing but positivity.
