The human body is a world of mystery, fascination and - let's be honest - oddities beyond belief.

If you're lucky enough to not have a clue what 'gleeking' is yet, then count yourselves lucky because you may be able to teach your body a brand new trick its never done before.

Heads up - this isn't for the faint-hearted:

Told you so.

According to Health.com, 'gleeking' is name for when saliva comes shooting out from under your tongue.

It explains that people may demonstrate the odd bodily talent by accidentally projecting saliva while yawning, eating, or talking.

And if you've ever accidentally done that before then you, my friend, are a 'gleeker'.

But if you've never even tried it and want to, then one man has shared exactly what to do to achieve the mouth 'squirt'.

Jude Somers, took to Instagram yesterday (25 March) to share with his thousands of followers a tutorial on the phenomenon.

He captioned the video: "Sorry for being gross."

Thanks for the heads up, mate, but nothing could have prepared us for what he was about to do.

"This is called 'gleeking'," he explained after stitching a video of a woman effortlessly doing the trick.

He continued: "It's basically when you projectile squirt from your saliva glands that I'm going to teach you how to do it."

While 'projectile squirt' may sound a bit weird, you can't deny the fascination.

"You want to start by massaging the underside of your tongue like this," he explained as he zoomed into his tongue squirming around at the bottom of his mouth.

A sight for sore eyes, indeed.

He told his followers to do so with their 'mouth closed' as 'that's where your saliva glands are'.

"Next," Jude went on, "you want something sour to activate them," upon which he gulped down on bitter lemon juice.

Jude also admitted that he was a newbie himself to the trick, revealing: "I just want to say I've actually never 'gleeked' before so this will be exciting for me to do."

Continuing on with his tutorial, the man then offered the final step: "Put the tip of your tongue on the roof of your mouth and push outwards with your tongue," at which point he successfully achieved the 'projectile squirt'.

His immediate response was a shocked but cheery 'Oh!', which instantly turned into existentialism.

Jude ended the video saying: "What am I doing with my life?"

Well, I guess you do learn something new everyday.
