A homeless man has been dubbed an 'angel in disguise' after rushing into a burning building to save a little girl.
He was visiting his brother in his apartment when he realised he could smell smoke. Initially, he believed that the niff was coming in from the outside. As it progressively got heavier, he realised that it was coming from inside.
Entering the building again, he found the little girl curled up under a blanket on the couch. He lifted her up, then ended up handing her over to another man who came into the room looking for her.
The child was rushed to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
Speaking of his troubles, he said that he had been homeless for months. He sleeps wherever he can 'rest his head' and spends a lot of time in libraries.
He went back to meet the little girl and her father a few days later, and described her as his 'guardian angel'.
I think she'd say the same about him to be fair.
