Plastic Surgeon Says Women Increasingly Getting Botox Injections To Get Rid Of 'Resting B***h Face'

Botox and fillers have become so commonplace in our society, with celebrities, reality TV stars and normal folk all rocking a plumper look.

People get them for all sorts of reasons and sometimes it can result in a boost in self-esteem.

However it seems like there is a growing portion of women who are getting some filler or botox to get rid of their 'resting bitch face'.

If you're not familiar with the classic RBF, it's when a person looks like they're pretty pissed off when showing no emotion at all. They might be really content and having a good time, but because of the way their face sits, it looks like their not happy at all.

In the past you haven't been able to do anything about it except for smiling all the time, however surgeons have apparently found a way to help fix it.

Plastic Surgery & Laser Center plastic surgeon and medical director Dr. David Shafer told the New York Post: "This is actually a common request from patients - I get several each week.

"They may not always use the words 'resting bitch face,' but if I mention 'RBF,' they say, 'exactly.'"

Dr Shafer said procedures have doubled over the last year and they only take, at the most, 20 minutes. However they certainly aren't cheap.

Perth Now reports to get the RBF-gone look, it'll set you back between $AU730 and $AU7,300, depending on the number of shots.

On the flip side, a growing proportion of male clinic attendees are getting botox for their scrotum.

Let's be honest, it's certainly not the prettiest part of a bloke's body but it seems as though some want it looking better.The procedure has been dubbed 'Scrotox', obviously amalgamating Botox and scrotum, and it costs up to $1,000.

Dr Jayson Oates, principal surgeon and medical director of CALIBRE Clinic, told news.com.au: "The most common reason we have guys asking for Scrotox is because their scrotum is tightly contracted, squeezing up on their testicles and it's painful.

"The relaxation of the scrotum helps the testes to hang a bit lower and offers some relief."

It can make your balls look less wrinkly and younger. But before you sign yourself up to the nearest clinic, a word of warning.

Australia is actually becoming quite the plastic fantastic country, with figures from 2017 showing we've overtaken America for the number of cosmetic procedures done every year.
