We’ve all got that one mate who just seems to do the stupidest of s**t but somehow always seems to get away with it. They don’t even need one of us to dare them, they’ll just do it - whatever it is.

And usually said friend comes out of it fine and we all get a good laugh out of it. But when this influencer decided to do something dumb, it totally backfired.

Typically going viral for doing weird things, Lil Golo ended up knocking himself unconscious when he tried to run through a wall of duct tape.

The Aussie social media star was pulling off a stunt to see how many strips of tape he could run through at Base Space in Auckland, New Zealand.

He’d bought $400 worth of tape and constructed a little wall between two poles. Lil Golo shared a video to Instagram, showing a timelapse of his pal and him making the walls up as he would have a go at blitzing through them.

The influencer started off with one strip of tape before progressing to 10 and then up to 100. And then, Lil Golo decided it would be worth really going for it by attempting 1,000 strips.

But in daring to dream, Lil Golo was sent to dreamland.

After a first failed attempt, his second go at the wall of 1,000 strips knocked him out cold and the clip showed him lying on his back as drool trickled from his mouth.

“I don’t remember what happened,” the influencer said.

Known for doing these wild stunt videos, onlookers ended up rushing over to Lil Golo as he seemed totally winded by the impact.

Lil Golo was placed in a neck brace by paramedics as they dosed him up on painkillers on the way to the hospital.

And despite his injury, he admitted it was still fun as he told fans ‘you have to send it in life’. Lil Golo said: “I really believed that could f***ing work, 1,000 f***ing duct tape, and I'm f***ing p***ed off.”

Before sharing the video, he shared a snap from hospital with the caption: “I’m bouta drop the dumbest video I’ve ever done after they release me from here I think I'm gonna retire Lil Golo stunt arc after this one sorry for scaring everyone who was there today I’m alive dw love you all.”

The video of Lil Golo getting knocked out divided viewers as they said they had waited hours in the emergency room while people were ‘injuring themselves for clout on the internet’ and ‘putting further strain’ on the system. Others left laughing faces as one joked: “I think you got 900 easy.”
