A man who spent £12,480 to fulfil his lifelong dream of being a dog hasn't told his friends as he's worried they'll think he's, well, barking mad.

You can check out the dog-man in action below:

In case you missed it, earlier this year a bloke named Toco revealed his ridiculously realistic canine suit, which set him back well over £12,000.

Although some might feel it frivolous to spend so much money on what is essentially a fancy dress costume, there's no denying how lifelike it looks.

What's more, Toco explained to the MailOnline at the time that he's 'wanted to be an animal' ever since he was a 'small child'.

So for him the outfit has been a game changer.

However, the YouTuber - who keeps his followers updated on his animal antics - has chosen to keep his face hidden from the limelight as he fears what his peers might think.

He looks so real.

Speaking to The Mirror, Toco, from Japan, explained: "I rarely tell my friends because I am afraid they will think I am weird. My friends and family seemed very surprised to learn I became an animal."

Elaborating on why he's chosen this path in life, he added: "Since childhood, I have had this unspecific fantasy of becoming an animal.

"I wonder whether it was a desire for transformation."

But the vlogger opted for a dog costume, choosing a collie as it's his 'favourite' breed.

Videos on his page show him learning various activities as a pooch, from eating and performing tricks to being taken on a walk and playing frisbee.

Toco went on to tell the outlet that he purchased his costume from Zeppet, a Japanese company that creates sculptures and models for films.

A representative from the agency previously explained: "The point is that the skeleton of a dog can be reproduced on the skeleton of a human.

Toco said he's wanted to be an animal since he was a child.

"Since the structure of the skeleton is very different, we spent a lot of time studying how to make it look like a dog."

They later added: "In addition, we collect photographs taken from various angles so that the beautiful coat of the collie can be reproduced and devised so that the coat will flow naturally."

Although Toco worries what his friends and colleagues would think of his lifestyle choice, there are plenty of people online who support him.

One wrote under his viral video: "I'm so happy for you! It's so sweet to see you fulfil your dreams."

Another said: "The costumes and the movements look so realistic... Toco it's amazing."
