Ageless bloke who 'looks 14' keeps birth certificate on him to prove real age

Denis Vashurin has even left police officers confused with his appearance

It can be pretty harsh when supermarket workers start hitting that 'customer is clearly over 25' button without asking for your ID, but one fully grown man still seems to be years away from having that problem.

Travel blogger, Denis Vashurin, has gained a big following online as he shares snaps of his adventures and travels around the world, racking up more than 19,000 followers on Instagram.

Denis says he's regularly mistaken for 14 years old.

I'm sure a lot of those people are interested in his journeys, but there are definitely some that are much more interested in looking at Denis' face opposed to the incredible scenery he surrounds himself with.

The blogger first rose to fame two-and-a-half years ago, when he was interviewed and questioned about his incredibly youthful looks.

I'm not just talking fresh-faced here - Denis has actually had people mistake him for a teenager 20 years his junior.

His youthful looks have actually resulted in some awkward run-ins, so now he has to carry his birth certificate around with him to help prove that he's really not as young as he looks.

Denis, from Russia, said: “There were moments with the traffic police, as the inspector was surprised looking at [my] documents. But after all, he must obey the law...

“At my age, people react differently – some are very surprised, but after talking for a couple of minutes, they no longer notice.”

Denis says 'everyone' has haters.

Denis was just four years old when he first noticed there was something different in his looks, and he claims to have visited numerous hospitals in search of an answer, but he's never been able to find one.

Now, he's still mistaken for a boy of 14, when really he's 35 years old.

Denis insisted he's never been bullied because of his appearance, though a lot of people are shocked when learning of his age.

"Are you really 35 or are you joking?," one person wrote, while another commented: "Benjamin buttonn!!!!"

Denis has unfortunately received some negative comments 'with insults' while blogging, but he noted: “Everyone has haters and most often they are evil and unhappy people."

Instead of focusing on the haters, Denis spends his free time travelling, walking in the mountains, driving cars and spending time with his girlfriend, who has 'never been obsessed with [his] age or appearance'.

“I don’t think anyone wants to get old, me too, but I’ve figured it out over the years. The main thing is health, not appearance – but nature is such that everything and everyone has their time," Denis said.
