Alan Barnes Offers To Pay Off Katie Cutler's Full PR Fees

Alan Barnes has reportedly offered to pay off Katie Cutler's PR bill.

The news came today during a court appeal as Katie denies owing that much cash. The court heard that Alan has sent a cheque in the post.

The pair shot to fame after Alan was mugged by a man called Richard Gatiss while he was putting his bins out. The fact that Alan suffers from height and growth problems made the case especially prominent in the UK media.

When Katie heard about the incident, she decided to set up a fund-raising campaign so that he could treat himself to something to make him feel better. However, the campaign got absolutely massive. So huge, in fact, that £330,000 was raised.

Alan bought a new house and everything was hunky-dory. For a while.

Katie decided that she loved charity work, and decided to use her new-found fame to help more people. She enlisted the help of a publicist, Claire Barber, to help with her media appearances. Fair play to her, when there's that much attention on you, you'd be an idiot to not try and get as much publicity for your charity as possible.

Claire's fee was £550-a-day, and there's been some clashes in term of opinion of how much work she actually did. It went to court.

However, this morning Newcastle County Court decided that Katie does, in fact, need to pay the bill.
